It has been brought to West Kern’s attention that individuals representing a water filtration company, Kern Water Project, have been going door-to door and sending text messages questioning the quality of your drinking water and offering to collect samples. Please be aware, these individuals are in no way associated with West Kern Water District. The District’s water supply is regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency, in sponsorship of the CA State Water Resources Control Board, and meets all state and federal guidelines. The District’s new rates are in effect and will appear on all future monthly billing statements. A $10 late fee will be assessed on all outstanding bills, 28 days after the billing date.

In response to our customer requests seeking greater detail on their water usage a major effort was made to upgrade the District’s metering system. This upgrade will assist conservation efforts, identify leaks in real time and allow customers on-line access to better manage their water use. Customers can access their usage information online through a metering application called EyeOnWater.
