BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED – FELLOWS
West Kern Water District is pleased to announce that the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water, has authorized the lifting of the Precautionary Boil Water Notice for the town of Fellows, effective Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
Following additional water quality testing, all four samples collected throughout Fellows tested absent for total coliform and E. coli bacteria. Based on these results, the water has been determined to be safe to drink.
Fellows customers no longer need to boil their tap water or use bottled water for drinking or cooking purposes.
West Kern will continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the initial positive sample and will resume regular weekly water quality sampling next week.
